The comprehensive knowledge found and collected by AlpHouse is made available for local stakeholders so that they can make immediate use of it. For that purpose AlpHouse offers a variety of qualification modules for individual target groups.
For the target group SMEs – crafts enterprises, architects, and planners – modules are offered that address the central subjects of AlpHouse:
alpine architecture in its regional geographic, climatic, and demographic context,
state of the art of energy technology, and
practical knowledge on materials and construction techniques.
For the target group of regional decision makers in politics and administration short-term modules are offered regarding
application of specific decision making tools,
use of geographic data and interactive maps in planning and presenting, etc.
The modules vary in time format ranging from evening workshops over single-day events to courses lasting several days. Their locations differ according to the subject: theoretical instructions are given in class rooms, practical trainings are given in construction halls or construction villages of building academies, and on-site workshops are given on pilot building sites.
The modules are designed to be attended individually; together they form a coherent course of instruction. For selected professions advanced modules are offered that are aligned to the respective basic educations.
The modules are performed and certified by the regional members of the AlpHouse-Consortium. Additionally a net based information platform displays extensive material for the support of the learners.
AlpHouse is a project of the European Union (EU) in cooperation with the Working Group of Alpine Countries (ArgeAlp),
lead by the Chamber of Trade and Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria.
