L'ANDRIA – notes for a village renewal

Presentation of the results of the Alphouse Workshop "Energetic and Architectural Renovation of Traditional Buildings in Alpine Settlements"


The Veneto Region in collaboration with the Belluno Dolomites Architecture Foundation will present to the public and in particular to the citizens of Selva di Cadore the results of the Alphouse Workshop held from the 14th to 16th of April in Selva di Cadore.

 

The workshop have seen architects, craftsmen and municipal technicians from the Belluno province working together on the subject of recovery of traditional buildings and energy efficiency in alpine settlements of the Dolomites taking as "Case Study" the nearby settlement of L’Andria and a rural building located inside.

 

The event and the workshop are part of the AlpHouse project activities (Interreg IIIB - Alpine Space) designed to provide support to professionals and companies wishing to develop "specific solutions to be applied to buildings in the traditional alpine architectural restoration and upgrading of the energy efficiency" as a strategy to increase their competitiveness on the market, standing out as professionals able to resolve key issues in the conflict between traditional architecture and technological innovation.

 

The workshop and the event are held under the auspices of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation and in collaboration with the Order of Architects of the Province of Belluno, the Association ArchForumBelluno, the IUAV University of Venice. At the end of the event, a refreshment with typical products from the area will be offered to participants.
